MANIFESTO
We don’t sell swimwear.

We sell the feeling of sophistication that’s often missing when men put on a pair of shorts or swim briefs.

We sell the pride that comes with wearing something that not only fits you perfectly, but that’s created sustainably and made to keep.

We sell a membership to a community of men who understand, appreciate, and reward themselves with today’s definition of luxury — luxury with purpose

ETHOS
Copper Bottom is committed to designing, sourcing and manufacturing men’s swimwear with the future in mind. Through a focus on timeless collections, carefully selected fabrics, exceptional craftsmanship and attention to every detail, we aim to evoke confidence in our customers and inspire them to make memories by the water.

We believe in a ‘less is more’ approach to consumption and create products made to last, encouraging our customers to love their trunks for years to come.

As our name states, our passion lies in creating classic swim trunks built to withstand the test of time. In a time when fast fashion reigns, we’d rather go the other way. We focus on quality and obsess over every detail so that season after season, each pair of trunks looks and feels just as great as it did on day one.

MEANING
Copper Bottom is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence.

In the 1700s, when ships needed to last longer, or go faster, they invested in high-cost copper sheathing. Today, the term is more widely used to describe something that is genuine and trustworthy.

ORIGIN
For over 50 years, my grandfather, George, took annual canoe trips through Algonquin Park with a group of his closest friends. At 3 years old, my grandfather gifted me a paddle and shared his craft.

I took what I learned from my grandfather’s passion and created a brand to share this with others. We make swimwear for men who love the water. For those whose time is best spent with sand between their toes and salt water on their skin -- those who dream of dock days at the cottage and boat days on the lake.

Men’s swimwear has been an afterthought for far too long. Men have settled for unflattering styles, uncomfortable mesh, bad prints, slow-drying fabrics and trunks that fall apart within their first season. We’re looking to change the game. Copper Bottom is made to keep. - Mercedes, founder
